Having already provided the official matchball for the inaugural edition of the competition, adidas have once more set the tone for the 2010/11 UEFA Europa League with a second iconic ball.
The design of the 2009/10 matchball was inspired by the competition's new logo. All of the games in the competition – including the final at the Hamburg Arena on 12 May 2010 – were played with the new ball, which featured 14 thermally bonded panels and PSC-Texture™. This surface structure allowed players to control and direct the ball perfectly in all weather conditions.
The 2010/11 ball is the next step of adidas's partnership with the competition. Featuring the latest 'grip'n'groove' technology, the design incorporates the UEFA Europa League logo and the brand colours, and will be ever-present as the teams battle for a place in the Dublin decider.
